An 8-4 win by RTFB maintains their 21 point lead over Brothers Grimm. Mac Too are now in third place on their own and pulled back two points on the leaders - only 37 to go.....

Some good, consistent bowling tonight; ten players reached 500 scratch but there were only two 200+ games. Keith MacFarlane was top scorer with a season best 551 (677 with handicap) followed by Harry Hargreaves with 546 (648) also a season best. Keith also had his first 200 game this season, 203 (245 - the best this week)

Mary Grayson's run of form continued wuith her first 500 game of this league; 26 higher at 515 (653). Rose Barton improved her high game by 20 to reach 204 (240)

Terry Highton got a 6-7 split.

Another big win by RTFB extends their lead to 21 points over Brothers Grimm and 39 points over Mac Too and X-Men in joint third.

No big scores tonight: five players had 500 scratch series and there was only one 200 game. Martin Cook was top scorer with 533 (623 with handicap). Terry Highton was next best: 526 (628) and he also hit the only 200 game. Rich Tewkesbury had the best handicap game with 244 (193 scratch)

Mary Grayson improved her high game and high series for this league to 183 (231) and 489 (633).

Little change at the top of the table after the top three teams all won tonight. RTFB lost some ground to the other two though and now lead by 18 points from Brothers Grimm in second and 32 points from Mac Too in third.

The Turkeys were the high scorers tonight, both as a team and individuals. Dale Cousins was top scratch scorer again this week with 563 (644 with handicap), 3 more than last week. Martin Cook had all of the other high scores including the best game, 212 (243). His 554 (647) was a new season best. Turkeys rise from 13th to 10th.

Tony King had a new high series for this league, five higher at 491 (635)

RTFB's successful run continues; they have won their last 9 matches, all with big scores. Their lead is now 20 points from Brothers Grimm who are a further 14 points in front of new third place Mac Too.

Mac Too climb from fifth place with a good team score: Mick and Keith both had 500 series and their team scratch series 1,062 is the second best of the league. Dale Cousins returned to form with 560 (644), the best individual series of the night. Merv Farrow hit the only 200 game tonight - 214 (241).

Mandy King improved her high game by four pins tinight to 128 (203).

Terry Highton got a 5-7 split.

After a crushing win over Brothers Grimm, RTFB go on to the second half of the league with an 18 point lead over the Bros in second and 28 over Dominoes in third.

Gary and Tony continued their recent good form tonight and were top of all of the high score lists. Gary was top scorer with 581 (665 with handicap), a long way in front of Rich Lester who hit 540 (612). Gary also had his best game in this league and the best game of the night; 236 (264) with John Bryer next highest with 209 (230).

Harry Hargreaves and Brian Grayson had new high series scores with 532 (631) and 473 (608). Keith MacFarlane improved his best game by 14 to 199 (243) and Matt Barton improved his high game by 5 to 197 (233).

Carrie Brier dealt with a 5-10 split and Harry Hargreaves got a 5-7 split.

RTFB go into the half way position night next week with a six point lead over Brothers Grimm who have a 17 point lead over Dominoes in third.

Not many high scores this week: Mick King hit a 538 series (613 with handicap) which included the best scratch game 227 (252). Mary Grayson had the best series with handicap, 629 (485 scratch)

After another win, by 8-4 over ICBIN Gutter, RTFB increase their lead over Brothers Grimm to eight points. Third place Dominoes beat the Brothers 8-4 and reduce the gap to second place to seven points. X-Men stay in fourth, another eight points behind.
Another good week for high scores: John Bryer was top scorer with 590 - the best scratch series of the league - (659 with handicap) which included two of the three 200+ games bowled tonight. Martin Cook was next highest with 546 (636).
Well done to Julie Pinder (Glitter Girls) who easily beat her personal best game and series with a 519 series (690 - second best in the league so far) and a clean 213 (239) game. The Glitter Girls also had the best team handicap scores this week and their 1,284 team series is the second best of the league.
Brian Grayson improved his high series by 16 to 472 (610)

Anita Highton and Terry Emmony both got 5-7 splits.

With Brothers Grimm faltering again to a 6-6 draw, RTFB move up to the top of the table with a 12-0 win over Pin Pals. They lead by four points with Dominoes moving up to third, another 11 points behind.
Some good high scores tonight with many of the season's best scores being beaten. Lightning Strikes, Terry Highton and Graham Lewis, hit the best team games and series, both scratch and handicap for the league so far. Rich Lester had the best scratch series of the league with 588 (666 with handicap). SOS also feature in the season high scores lists with a 400 scratch game (474) and 1,002 series (1,224). Mac Too also broke the 1000 pins scratch series with 1,017 (1,230).

Carrie Bryer again had a new personal best series 419 (605) - her first time over 400. Keith MacFarlane, Matt Lowe, Harry Hargreaves and Steve Cousins all had new high series tonight.

Terry Emmony got a 5-7 split.

The league scratch average jumped to 144.1

First and second, Brothers Grimm and RTFB both won 10-2 tonight and so stay in the same positions with a two point gap. X-Men go above Dominoes into third place, a further seven points behind.

Gary Wileman continued his run of good form; not quite equaling last week but very close. His 579 series (669 with handicap) was only four less than last week but his best game, 231 (261) was 19 higher than his previous best this year. Dale Cousins was next highest with 544 (631) including a 203 (232) game, both scratch scores being his best of the season.

Carrie Bryer scored a new personal best game; 175 (238) and also improved her high series for this league,10 pins higher at 399 (588). Martin Cook had a new high game, 205 (235)

The league scratch average remained at 143.7

In spite of losing their second game in a row Brothers Grimm stay top of the table for a fourth week by two points from RTFB who rise to second. Dominoes rise to third, ahead of X-Men who were beaten by Hit & Miss tonight and fall to fourth.

Most of the high scores came from the Brothers v RTFB match with Gary Wileman having his personal best series 583 - and the best in the league so far - (682 with handicap) which included two 200+ games. Steve Emmony had eight strikes in a 241 game (268), second best in the league. The Brothers had the first team scratch game over 400 in this league, (405, 466). The Glitter Girls hit the best handicap series; 1,219.

Rose Barton improved her high series score by 22 to 507. Kim Stone and Mandy King also improved their high series scores tonight

John Bryer converted the almost impossible 8-10 split - the first time he has even seen it done. Kim Stone got a 5-7 split.
