Our first week on string pins. First impressions: Nobody said that it's an improvement. Everybody seemed to have noticed strange pinfalls and splits; some pins took a while to fall down, others fell for no obvious reason. After tonights bowling 17 (out of 32) players had lower averages, 12 had improved averages and 2 were unchanged.

The top three teams stay in the same positions with The Kings and Young Tigers both winning. Team Aeriel lose some ground on the others by losing 12-0 to Pinpals. There is now only a point between first and second but 11 between second and third. Bata Bullets jump three places to fourth with a 12-0 win over Bros Grimm.

Kev King improved his high series for this league by 26 to 544 (649 with handicap), the best score of the night and he also had the best game; 221 (256). Luke had the next best series and game, 485 and 185.

Imran improved his season best series by four to 465 (624) and Lesley improved her high score by 8 to 454 (613) including the second best handicap game of the night, 222 (169)

The average scratch game tonight was 138 (last week 139) The average series was 415 (416)
