In the first v second match on the last night of the league Hot Chris Bunz beat the league champions 9-3 to reduce the Brothers Grimm's winning margin to ten points. HCB ended with a 16 point lead over Hit & Miss in third place.

Bunz Hughes and Steve Emmony were joint top scorers tonight with 480 scratch and Keith MacFarlane was top handicap scorer with 610 (478 scratch) Keith also had the best game, his best of the league; 187 (231)

Neil Austin (Sopranos) converted a 5-7 split and Bryan Davies was sucessful with a 5-8-10

The league scratch average ended at 138.2

Brothers Grimm, playing against their missing opponents averages, won a vital six points to put them 16 points clear of Hot Chris Bunz in second place with one week to go. HCB are nine points clear of Hit and Miss in third.

Steve Emmony was top scorer once again with a 552 (639 with handicap) series including a 220 (249) game. Chris Woodward was second on both scratch scores and Keith MacFarlane was second on both handicap scores.

Brothers Grimm improved their team high game by 8 (3) to 395 (464), the only improvements in previous high sores by any players or teams tonight.

The league scratch average remained at 138.0

The top two teams, Brothers Grimm and Hit Chris Bunz both won tonight and positions are unchanged - all team positions in the league were unchanged this week. The Brothers now have an 18 point lead going into the final two weeks. HCB are the only team that has a chance of winning and, by chance, the two teams meet on the last week of the league.

No big scores this week, Chris Woodward and Bunz Hughes top all of the high score lists with Chris having the best series, 487 (589 with handicap) and the best game, a clean 193 (227). Bunz had the best handicap game though, 231 (191 scratch)

Karl King converted a 4-7-10 split.

After a 12-0 win in a high quality match against Kings, Brothers Grimm look like winning the Summer league shield for the third year in a row. They lead by 20 points over Hot Chris Bunz who also won 12-0, in second and 23 points over Hit & Miss in third. With only three weeks left the Brothers are in a strong position.

Steve Emmony and Brothers Grimm were top scorers in every category tonight and their scores were the best in the league so far by some margin. Steve hit a 603 series (699 with handicap) including two 200 games. His first open frame was a 5-7 split in the 25th frame of the series. The team were the first so far to reach 1000 pins scratch with 1098 (1320) - both scores are around 100 higher than the next best. Their opponents, Kings also bowled well and their first two game scores would have beaten every other team tonight.

Chris Woodward was second highest tonight in all the high score lists (547, 658 and 200, 237) the second best scratch series in the league.

Keith MacFarlane hit a new high series and his first 500, 20 higher at 506 (644). Liz Lake improved her high series by 21 to 440 (614) and Cameron Rogers was 17 higher at 419 (602).

No changes in table positions after tonights bowling. The top two teams both drew 6-6 and the gap remains at 16 points with four weeks to go. Hot Chris Bunz in third close the gap to second by two points and they trail Hollywood by four.

Gareth Gillard had an inspired night with a new high series 514 (655 with handicap) including the joint best game of the league 220 (267). Bryan Davies was second on the weeks high score lists with his first 200 game of the league, 202 (244)

Keith MacFarlane hit a new high game, +9 to 181 (227) and Nicola Rye Holland improved her high scores; series by 20 to 466 (598) and game +12 to 172 (216)

After their fourth big win in a row Brothers Grimm extend their lead to 16 points over Hollywood in second and 22 points over Hot Chris Bunz in third.

Chris Woodward was top scorer with 500 (614 with handicap) - only the fourth 500 series so far in the league. Chris also had the best game of the night;195 (233)

Donna Smith had the second best handicap series after improving her high series by 21 (37) to 428 (608). Nicola Rye Holland added 17 to her high series to reach 446 (584) Ed Farmer had a new high series, 6 higher at 406 (586)

In a night of many splits, several bowlers converted 5-7 and 5-10 splits.

In the first week of the second half of the league, Brothers Grimm stay in top spot with a 10-2 win over the Sopranos. Hollywood move up to second, ahead of Hit & Miss after beating the Kings 12-0. For the first time there are sizeable gaps between teams; eight between first and second and the same between second and third.

Steve Emmony was top scorer with only the second 200 game of the league (208, 241 with handicap) and the fourth 500 series (524, 623). Gareth Gillard also reached 500 this week; 510 (663 - the best series of the night.)

Ed Farmer (Underdogs) improved his high game by 15 to 157 (218)

After taking all of the points from Hot Chris Bunz in this week's match and the same from The Underdogs in the match postponed from last week, Brothers Grimm take a nine point lead at the top of the table. Hit and Miss beat close rivals Mac Too to retain second place but they are only one point clear of Hollywood and Mac Too.

Sean MacFarlane joined the Underdogs for tonight and was top scorer with 495 (576 with handicap). Paul Simmons had his best scores for some time with a 490 (649) series which included a 198 (251) game. Paul's handicap scores are the third best in the league so far.

Several players had their best series so far: Karl King +73 to 448 (640), Cameron Rogers +11 to 402 (591), Bryan Davies +10 to 486 (615) and Dana Goodwin +3 to 368 (593).

Mac Too return for a second stint at the top of the table with a 9-3 win over The Sopranos. They lead Hit & Miss by three points with another three to Hot Chris Bunz in third. Hollywood jump from seventh to fourth after their 10-2 win over Hot Chris Bunz.

Chris Woodward was top scorer this week with a 466 (577 with handicap) series. Diane MacFarlane had the best game, 191 (231). Gareth and Dana had the best two handicap series and Dana had the best handicap game, 234 (159)

Hit & Miss return to the top of the table with a three point buffer after a 10-2 win against the Sopranos. Hot Chris Bunz move up a place to second and Mac Too rise to third, both at the expense of Brothers Grimm who slip to fourth.

Bunz Hughes had the best scores of the night with a personal best series 539 (662 with handicap) which is the best of the league so far by some distance. He also had the best game; 193 (234).

Bryan Davies (Sopranos) was successful with a 5-10 split.

Leadership changed again with Brothers Grimm jumping three places to the top after a 10-2 win over the Kings. It's still very close though with six teams in reach of the top. Mac Too in sixth are only seven points behind with a game in hand.

Brothers Grimm had all of the high scores this week; Steve hit the first 500 series of the league, 503 (605 with handicap) and Terry had the first 200 game, 220 (263). The team tops five out of the eight league high score lists. Bryan Davies (Sopranos) also features in the week's high score lists with a 180 (222) game and a 476 (602) series.

Last week's leaders Mac Too and Hot Chris Bunz played each other and split the points between them. Hit & Miss in third last week go above them both after beating Brothers Grimm 8-4.

Newcomer Matt Costall of The Underdogs was top scorer this week with the best series of the league so far 493 (643 with handicap.) Gareth Gillard returned to form with a 476 series and a 190 game. With his 70 handicap Gareth had a league best 686 series. Liz Lake had her best game for some time, 196 (242)

After an emphatic 11-1 win over the Kings, Hot Chris Bunz move up from third to top the table. It's very close though, three other teams are within two points.

Steve Emmony had the best series and game tonight but still no 500 series or 200 games. Steve had a 490 series (603 with handicap) and a 190 (225) game. Chris Woodward was next highest with 493 (571) and Bunz Hughes and Cameron Rogers had the joint best handicap series 616.

Bunz Hughes was successful with a 5-10 split.
