Duo overcame the two point lead held by Mac Too to win the summer league by two points - their fifth win in the summer leagues.The Owls retain third place, seven points behind Mac Too and Turkeys move up two places to fourth ahead of Flintstones.

No big scores again tonight: Keith MacFarlane and Rich Lester were top scorers with 476 but Steve Emmony had the best handicap series with 586. Chris Johnson (Boom) hit a clean 188 game (242 with handicap) the best scores of the night. Brothers Grimm had the best team scores tonight, from lane 8.

Carl Briggs spared a 5-10 split.

Mac Too retain the lead in the table but with only a two point buffer and the league winners will come from one of these teams on position night on 3 September. The Owls and Flintstones can reach second place if other results go their way.

Another week without any 500 series or 200 games: the match between Mac Too and Boom produced all of the high scores with Diane having the best series at scratch and handicap - 480, 612 and Keith with the best game 178, 215. Their opponent Chris Johnson, playing on his own, improved his high series by 14 to 437 (608 with handicap) and had the best handicap game of the night with 229.

Nikky Rye Holland improved her high game and high series tonight on the way to trouncing Brothers Grimm.

Chris Johnson spared a 4-10 split and also picked up a 5-8-10.

With a 12-0 win over Turkeys, Mac Too move up to top the league, a point clear of the Owls who have their bye week next week and three points above Duo. with just two weeks to go it is still anybodys league.

The low scoring continues with no 200+ games and only Richard Lester (527 - a new high series for the league, 608 with handicap) and Keith MacFarlane (503, 620) scoring over 500.

Liz Lake, with 148 in all three games for a 444 series (600) improved her high series as did Ben Telfer with a 415 series (577)

In a volatile week with five teams changing positions by three places, the Owls move up three to the top of the table after beating Brothers Grimm. Stealth Bowlers also rise three places after beating second place Mac Too. After being top team from the start Duo finally drop down, to fourth, but they have a game in hand after postponing tonights game.

Another week of low scratch scores; Steve Emmony was top scorer at scratch and handcap with a new high series for this league, 19 higher at 483 (603 with handicap) and 181 (221) and Brothers Grimm had the best team game 330 (409). Stealth Bowlers hit the best team series with 892 (1,132).

Duo stay top of the league in spite of having their bye week this week; tonights matches leave the top five teams within two points of each other. Last weeks second place Owls lost 0-12 against Turkeys and slip to fourth while Mac Too had a brilliant night against Brothers Grimm and move up from fifth to second. Hit and Miss also had a big win and rise three places to third.

The MacFarlanes had all of the glory tonight after hitting almost all of the high scores for the league: Keith had a 524 series (647 with handicap) including a clean 212 (253 game) while Diane had the next highest series and a clean 206 (253) game. Their team scores are the highest in the league by some distance. Their opponents, Brothers Grimm, once again inspired their opposition to special performances and were lucky to get two points from them.

Several players had new high series tonight: Donna Smith improved by 89 pins to 436 (637), Chris Johnson (Boom) was 47 higher at 423 (603) , Richard Hughes had a new personal best game, 183 (243) in a new high series of 439 (619) and Paul Simmons improved by 35 to 439 (592)

Duo had another drawn match tonight against new team Boom and just hold off the Owls who beat Hit & Miss 10-2. Stealth Bowlers are this wek's biggest risers, up three places to third after an 8-4 win over the Turkeys. Next week is Duo's bye week, so there may well be a change in leadership.

Once again, high scores were rare; Carl Briggs of Stealth Bowlers topped all of the individual lists with new high scores for this league: 512 (629 with handicap) and a high game of 205 (244). Stealth Bowlers also head all of the team high score lists.

Mary Grayson had a new high series, 19 higher at 441 (579)

Duo, leaders from the start, stay top in spite of only drawing tonight, against third place Mac Too. The Owls, last weeks second place, drop to third behind Mac Too after losing to Flintstones.

Few notable scores again this week; only Rich Lester reached the 500 mark with 506 (593 with handicap.) Liz Lake came close to a 200 scratch game with 192 (250) and she also had the best handicap series with 614 (440). Hit and Miss and Duo share the high team scores this week.

Duo stay in top place after a good 10-2 win over Turkeys but they are closely followed by the Owls who took all the points from the Stealth Bowlers. Brothers Grimm slip two places to fourth after losing to Hit and Miss, highest risers this week; up from eighth to fifth.

Brian Grayson had an excellent week with the best game and series scores at both scratch and handicap (196, 247 and 503, 656). The Owls also feature in all of the team high score lists


The league scratch average improved by 2.2 to 138.4

Last week's top three teams all lost tonight and although they keep their positions, other teams, Mac Too and the Owls in particular are now much closer. Duo lead by two points from Brothers Grimm and three from Mac Too.

No high scores tonight; Gary Wileman was top scorer with 464 (566 with handicap) and Rich Lester had the only 200+ game, 202 (225). Ray Telfer hit the best game and series with handicap, 235 and 621.

Terry converted a 4-7-9-10 split.

Duo started the league with a 12-0 win over Hit & Miss and they lead by two from Brothers Grimm and by four from Mac Too in third.
