The Turkeys snatched the summer league title in the last match of the season and by a ten point margin over Duo. In a quirk of the schedule, first played second in the final week and in lanes one and two. Turkeys comprehensively beat Duo, who lead the league for most of the season, and had their second 12-0 win in a row - last week they disposed of their only other challenger, Brothers Grimm.

Carl Briggs (FBI) ended the league with a new personal best series of 518 (647 with handicap), an improvement of 49. Carl also had a new high game, 6 higher at 181 (224). Adam Holland was another player with new high scores; his 236 (287) game included six strikes in a row and is the highest in the league. He just failed to reach 500 for the series by one pin but his series was 94 higher than his previous best.


The league scratch average fell by 0.4 to end on 141.8.

Brothers Grimm's stay at the top of the table was brought to a rapid halt by Turkeys who trounced the leaders 12-0. Duo won 8-4 against The Cousins to overhaul the Brothers, who have their bye week next week, by 2 points. By chance, the only two teams that can win the league are playing each other in the final week. Turkeys are just two points behind Duo.

Rich Lester and the Duo dominate the high scores this week. Rich hit a new high scratch game, 222 (244 with handicap) and high scratch series, 606 (672) for the league. Duo had the best game, scratch and handicap and the joint best handicap series, with Turkeys, 1251.

Harry Hargreaves improved his high series by a massive 75 to 534 (657). Steve Cousins had a new high game and Adam Holland scored a new high game and a new high series. Nathan Ferrie (RTFB) added 35 to his high series.

Terry Emmony was successful with a 5-7 split.


The league scratch average improved by 0.4 to 142.2

Brothers Grimm took advantage of Duo's bye week by taking all the points from Mac Too to move six points ahead of Duo. Turkeys jump two places to third, another six points behind the leaders.

Few high scores again tonight; Steve Emmony was top scorer with a new high series for this league 532 (622 with handicap) which included the only 200 game - 202 (232)

Another loss tonight - to last weeks third place Brothers Grimm - but Duo still keep first place with a reduced lead of 6 points over Brothers Grimm who climb to second. Mac Too jump two places to third after a 10-2 win over Turkeys.

A new high series for the league tonight: 583 (688 with handicap) for Terry Emmony with games of 197,197 and 189. Only two other 500 series and only two 200+ games with Nicola Rye Holland hitting the best one, 205 (240).

Mary Grayson improved her high series by 18 to 450 (600) and James Ferrie also increased his high series, adding nine pins to 430 (592). Tony King had a new high game (+50 to 200, 255) and high series (+28 to 423, 588) scores this week.

In spite of losing 4-8 tonight against Mac Too, Duo retain first place with a lead of 11 points over new second place The Cousins. Turkeys had their bye week and drop from second to fourth. Brothers Grimm move up to third after winning again in a very close match with The Cousins.

Only two bowlers over 500 this week; Dale Cousins had the best scratch series with 504 (573 with handicap). There were no 200 games. Simon Bird (FBI) hit the best game at scratch and handicap - with an improvement of 46 on his previous best to 189 (240). Ray Telfer was top scorer with handicap - 596 with James Ferrie next on 592.

No change at the top of the table this week with the first three teams all winning. Duo beat Hit & Miss by 12-0 though and extend their lead to ten points over Turkeys in second and 11 ponts over The Cousins in third. Brothers Grimm move up to fourth at the expense of Mac Too.

Ray Telfer improved his high series by a massive 110 to 476 (671 - the new high handicap series for this league) and this included a new high game of 180 (245), an improvement of 44. Steve Cousins improved his high series by 54 pins to 481 (640)

After a 12-0 win over RTFB, Duo extend their lead at the top of the table to six points from new second place Turkeys. Turkeys hold a one point lead over The Cousins who slip to third this week.

Dale Cousins was top scorer with 564 (636 with handicap) with Rich Lester and Nicola Rye-Holland both scoring 523. Nicola improved her high series by 48 and her handicap series, 646, was the best this week.
Terry Emmony had the best game; 210 (245), one of only two 200 games.

Steve Emmony hit his first 500 series of this league. Brian Grayson, Paul Simmons and Harry Hargreaves all had new high series scores this week.

The league scratch average improved by 1.2 pins to 141.7

Last week's top three teams all won 10-2 tonight so keep their positions and the same small gaps. Duo remain on top by three points from The Cousins and one more point to Mac + One.

Martin Cook had the best scratch series tonight with 534 (651 with handicap) which was an improvement of 77 for this league. Dale Cousins was next best, also with a new high series. Ben Telfer again features in the high score lists with a new personal best series of 447 (636) including a new high game of 170 (233 - the best of the week). Steve Cousins also improved his high scores and hit the second best handicap game 227 (164 scratch)

In spite of only drawing tonight, Duo stay top of the table with a three point gap to The Cousins who leap four place after a 12-0 win over hit & Miss. Brothers Grimm move the same number of places but in the other direction after a comprehensive 0-12 loss to Flintstones.

Keith MacFarlane had the best scratch series tonight; 537 (636 with handicap) but the best handicap series was by Ben Telfer (Flintstones) who had a new personal best series 421 (637). Richard Lester hit the next best scratch series, 528 (591) which included the only 200 game of the night.

Duo are top of the table after a 12-0 win over new team The Flintstones and following their 8-4 win last week. Brothers Grimm are second after two 8-4 wins and Mac Too - One are third.
