Blondie beat Duo to stay top

Call me Blondie (Pat & Karen Byrne) beat second place Duo (Tony Pearce & Rich Lester) 8-4 to go clear by 4 points. Third place Turkeys (Harry Hargreaves & Martin Cook) had another good win 12-0 against Camp David (Richard Springthorpe & Robbie Holt) to close the gap with the leaders. There are only 6 points between first and third now.

Brothers Grimm (Terry & Steve Emmony) failed to make any progress from fourth place, losing 8-4 to Skittle Scuttlers (Nicky Guest & Scott Ellington) who both had a good series and only just missed out on all of the points. Scott improved his best series by 34 to record his first 500 series of the season.

There were six 500 series but only one 200 game (see below). The best was by Terry Damm (X Factor) with 527 (593 with handicap) and Harry Hargreaves scored the best game with 202 (230).
John Bodicoat (Gutterballs) has discovered what an easy game this is, recording his best game, 176 (23 higher) and series, 467 (67 higher) and improving his average by 3 pins per game. He heads the high game and series handicap tables this week with 232 and 635. best split

Best split conversion was by Sean MacFarlane (Mac Too) with a 2-4-6-10 (see right) but he failed with many easier chances that he was given. Diane MacFarlane also did a great shot to convert a 4-7-10 split.
The overall league average stayed the same again at 145.5.
