Members Benefits (Megabowl)
The Leicestershire BTBA has negotiated a package of member benefits for members bowling at the Leicester Megabowl. Members have the following benefits:
  • League bowling at £5.85 for 3 games.

  • League Practice bowling at £1.50 per game (Monday to Friday, 12:00 to 6:00pm)

  • League Hour £10 for members bowling with friends and family. (Available Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00, Saturday 10:00am to 12:00 noon and Sunday from 12:00.

  • League Pints £1.50 per pint (John Smiths and Fosters lager). Monday to Friday 12:00 noon to 6:00pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:00pm, Saturday 11:00am to 12:00 noon and all day Sunday. Soft drinks available at 30p.

MEETING 30th AUGUST 2001 - MEGABOWL

A meeting was arranged between the management of Megabowl and the league bowling committee.
The following points were discussed and agreed:

1. League rates for bowling on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights will remain this year at £1.95 per game, however we must be looking at having to pay more next year, we have the lowest rates in any bowl, the norm being £2.00 - £2.50 per game league rates.

2. The question of car parking was raised to see if we could get back the reduced tickets, however NPC has refused to do anything to help us. And have in fact made the Bowl staff pay full rates for parking.

3. League practice rates will remain at £1.00 a game, however the bowl staff may refuse this if the lanes have already been prebooked, they will also be asking for your membership card and taking the number on the back, if you fail to show this you will be charged the full rate.

4. On league nights you may still purchase your pint of beer for a £1.00 if again you show your membership card to the bar staff, should anyone wish to purchase a soft drink this can now be purchased from the Wimpy Bar, at 30p for a regular size, again no card no reduced prices.

It was agreed that items 1 - 4 would be monitored by the bowl and your committee, to ensure no misuse of these cards.


Message from Malcolm Congreve:

If misuse of the cards is found the bowl will withdraw all facilities - so be warned.

The cost of your new membership card will be agreed at a later date as Megabowl has agreed to provide the membership cards for us. In view of the fact at the present time, beer and bowling rates have increased this is a very good deal - please let's not lose it.
