Brothers Grimm slipped to another loss against in form Hit & Miss but keep top spot. Hot Chris Bunz had their bye week but stay in second five points ahead of new third place Boom.

Some good scores tonight mainly by Terry and Martin (Just Friends) with 543 (654 with handicap) and 519 (657). Their team scores (1062, 1311) beat the previous league highs by almost 50 pins. At last some 200 games: Lew Ashenden hit a season high 204 (258) which followed a record low score in the first game. Well done to Karl King who scored his first ever 200 game tonight. (243)

Paul Simmons improved his high series by five to 469 (610) and Tony Pearce had a new high game, three higher at 164 (215)

Another top of the table clash - this time Brothers Grimm played second place Hot Chris Bunz and lost for the first time this season. With an 8-4 win, Hot Chris Bunz have reduced the deficit to ten points and move another eight points clear of Duo in third place.

There were no 200 games or 500 series tonight but Martin Lapidge came close with a new high for the season, by 56 pins, of 496 (640 with handicap). Paul Simmons had the best game, 188 (239) on his way to a new high series; 58 higher at 464 (617).

The Chucklers had the best team scores with Sarah hitting another new high game (181, 233) and Ethan a new high series (475, 619). Bunz Hughes improved his high game for this league by 14 to 184 (229).

The top of the table clash, Brothers Grimm and Duo resulted in a big win for the Brothers this time, 12-0 and they now lead the league by 14 points from new second place Hot Chris Bunz who also won 12-0 against Hit & Miss. Duo are a further four points behind in third place.

Terry Highton was top scorer with an improvement on his previous best for this league of 71 to 520 (649 with handicap) which included a new high game of 186 (229). Chris Woodward was next best with a new high, by ten pins, for the league of 515 (644).

Sarah Shellard, Tony Pearce and Terry Emmony all had new high games this week.

The league scratch average improved again, by 0.5 to 142.9

After another win - 10-2 against Just Friends - Brothers Grimm have a six point lead over Duo in second and 11 over Boom in third. Neither of these teams have had their bye week yet. Boom's rise to third was after a good win over Mac Too.

The MacFarlanes were again involved in the high scores lists but this week it was Keith's turn. His 567 series (657 with handicap) including a clean 207 (237) was the second best of the league so far. Owen Campbell had the best game of the night; 212 (242) and Chris Woodward had the best handicap game, a season best 250 (204 scratch). Chris also scored his first 500 game of this league, 505 (643)

Chris Johnson improved his high game by 18 pins to 188 (239)

Brothers Grimm stay in top place even though this was their bye week.They now have a two point lead over Duo who won 8-4 against Hit & Miss. Hot Chris Bunz rise to third after a 10-2 win over a depleted Chucklers at the expense of Boom who drop a place.

Diane MacFarlane was top scorer this week with the best game and series. She hit a 520 series (640 with handicap) and the best game, 191 (231). Rich Lester was the only other player over 500 with 506 (596). Kevin King had another good game this week;190 (236, the best this week.)

The Kings feature in all the team high scores but Hot Chris Bunz had the best team handicap series, 1,163 with Kings on 1,155.

Chris Woodward improved his high game by 10 to 175 (225) and series by 51 to 486 (633). Karl King also had new high scores: +10 to 175 (217) and +24 to 468 (594).

The league scratch average improved by 1.2 to 142.0

With their fifth win in a row, Brothers Grimm take a ten point lead over nearest rival Duo. (Stealth Bowlers have withdrawn from the league due to to work commitments.) Boom also had another big win to move up to third place, another three points behind Duo.

Steve Emmony and Brothers Grimm top the high scratch scores this week; Steve was the only player to reach 500 with 513 (588 with handicap) and was the nearest to a 200 game with a clean 196 (221).
Donna Smith and Hit and Miss had the best handicap scores - Donna hit a new personal best handicap series and the best of this league so far, 659 (482 scratch) including a 242 (182) game which was aslo a personal best.

Several players made improvements to their high series scores for this league, notably: Chris Johnson +94 to 483 (651), Liz Lake +46 to 439 (607), Tony Pearce +22 to 433 (539) and Bunz Hughes +4 to 472 (607).

Kevin King (The Kings) scored a new personal best game of 194 (242), 36 pins higher than his previous best.
